ABOUT ME – MARGOT WATSON

As a Natural Therapies Nutritionist Practitioner I firmly believe in the MIND/BODY/SPIRIT connection. Our body systems are inherently linked to our physiological and psychological health. Nutrition is identified as an important intervention to re-establish constitutional balance in our lives.

My qualifications include a science degree from Canterbury University and a diploma of Clinical Nutrition from Wellpark College.

I believe it is absolutely vital for me as a practitioner to be “current and collaborative” and am currently a registered member of the Clinical Nutrition Association (CNA). I have recently completed a certificate in Holistic Performance Nutrition (HPN).

MY FOOD PHILOSOPHY

Nutrition Know HowI am a keen advocate of healthy clean eating with an emphasis on nutrient rich wholefoods.Eating a variety of seasonal and sustainable natural foods from our local environment is key to optimal health and wellbeing.

Our body systems are essentially dependent on the  nutrients we absorb from our gut,  so a healthy wholefoods diet is essential to preserve gut ecology and gut wall integrity.

I see myself as an educator first and foremost and am passionate about nutrition education. I have been involved with schools, sports teams, dance organisations and community groups promoting healthy lifestyles and advocating natural seasonal wholefoods.
